The FIVB and PNVF are enhancing the skills of 34 referees, including 8 international referees, through a five-day refresher course in preparation for the 21st FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship Philippines 2025. The course, led by Guillermo Paredes from Argentina, aims to ensure proper officiating during the championship, which will be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and SM Mall of Asia Arena from September 12-28, 2025.

PNVF president Ramon 'Tats' Suzara emphasized the importance of proper officiating for the championship featuring 32 of the world’s best teams.
The course covers Rules of the Game, Modern Volleyball Use of Technology, FIVB Video Challenge Regulations, FOP/Court Inspection and Set-up, FIVB Match Protocols, and Practical Refereeing Applications.
The championship will be held from September 12-28, 2025, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and SM Mall of Asia Arena.
