Jessa Mae Tabuan, a first-year criminology student at Jose Rizal University, has significantly boosted the profile of powerlifting in the Philippines by winning six gold medals and two silver medals at the 2025 Asian Juniors Powerlifting Championships and Asian University Cup held in India. Her achievements go beyond the medals, as she aims to promote the sport within her country.
