Chino Sy-Tancontian, a multi-medalist student-athlete from Davao, is determined to reach the Olympics and surpass the achievements of his father, Paolo Tancontian, a Southeast Asian Games medalist and current president of the Philippines Sambo Federation. Chino, who has been awarded an Olympic solidarity scholarship for judo, is actively preparing for various competitions to gain the necessary experience and exposure to qualify for the Olympics.
