Barangay Ginebra San Miguel rookie Rhon Jhay 'RJ' Abarrientos officially married his partner of nearly a year, Arlove De Jesus, a model and former courtside reporter. Their civil wedding was shared on the Events by Thoffy Facebook page, shortly after the 49th Philippine Basketball Association Commissioner’s Cup. Abarrientos proposed to De Jesus in El Nido, Palawan, in November 2024. Both are alumni of Far Eastern University, where De Jesus worked as a courtside reporter and Abarrientos played basketball for the Tamaraws during the UAAP 2021-22 season.
